I notice Play.com have started doing music downloads, and it is digital rights management free MP3s which is nice. 65p per track seem reasonable too.

Not tried it yet, but think I will

Who has the biggest library.... iTunes?

Itunes --- you can buy gift cards at the supermarket and that way avoid handing over your credit card details.

Limewire leaves all sorts of crap on your computer. I use Soulseek with no probs. I also like the bbc.co.uk radio one podcasts and shows. Listen to what sounds good and go try to find it on s'seek.

I have used limewire for about 2 years, indeed it's downloading right now. Have got a mind-boggling heap of music from it, I doubt I'll ever manage to listen to it all. Collecting a heap of Asian stuff at the minute as I seem to have developed a taste in it I think I only paid something stupid like £15!!! even got autocad off it. Why do people still go to Virgin and HMV??? nutters

It does not load any dodgy crap into the computers system, all it does in creates a new folder called 'Shared' and thats where the downloads are first stored, it's also the folder that other users can access (if you wish them too). I've had no nastyness at all from using it. It's a bit like - what did we do before I-pods??

uTorrent is my weapon of choice for erm ... evaluation software and music.
