If a 13" wide x 40" long engine that makes 650 foot pounds of torque at 1200 rpm and 200 hp at 2000 rpm sounds interesting, check this out:

looks mint doesnt it. does it say how much they are anywhere? That is one seriously compact engine, more like a torpedo! not sure how suited to a car it is though!

This one's not cheap either but it's already found in a car application. Looks a bit crowded under the bonnet of the Focus.

i had a go in a local plod fiesta a few years ago fitted with the 998 orbital 2 stroke.
the thing was absolutly stunning ie 0-100 in 6.5 seconds, its a shame ford never made them into production vehicles they would have mad super mid engined engines

i'll try and find some of the press stuff they sent out about 5 of the things were given to police forces to test
