A totally random question for a Sunday afternoon, but here goes!
My great aunt has one of those swanky electric roller blinds over her patio. She tried ot open it the other day and it does nothing... We have tried
new batteries in the remote, but still no joy...
Does anyone have any idea what it may be? There is definitely power going to the blind and the led on the remote flashes green when you press any of
the buttons.
Could it be something simple like the remote needs re-programming to be blind or soething??
The company that installed it want £135 just to come out and have a look, and as I have been informed on many occasions "that is far too much
money for me to pay from my pension"
Any help gratefully accepted!

don;t know how expensive the blind was, but apparently some top notch ones, won;t open if its too windy!

What type of remote is it. If its an Infra red one it could just be the sensor on the blind is dirty.
Paul
This blind doesn't have wind sensors (and it was a still day when we were trying.
The remote is radio I think - no IR "window" on it - and the end of the blind with the motor and electrics in has what looks like a short
aerial tucked away.
instruction book !!!
I Know we hate to read them but....
If there was an instruction book.....
Some of them have electrically set limits, have you played with them? If the contacts erode over time they lock up.
If it's that kind of system. If not i'm afraid I'm a chocolate teapot.
For anyone folllowing this thread...
The remote had lost it's programming... (And the guy who reporgrammed it didn't tell us how! Typical
