in black thought that would look even better lol i llike and want 1 to
I think there's a fair bit of stuff available body-wise for hotrods. Mabye not so many kits, I think they're too individual for that, from what (I've read in hotrod mags folk seem to buy a body from here & a chassis from there or mabye make their own frame.
Aye I kinda thought so. There's a body on Ebay now down Suffolk way but I've to finish this one now. Out of interest anyone any ideas how to do a roof chop. Seen them on the minis all de seamed and stuff, looks good. I gather you'd start by chopping the roof off but cutting a bit off the pillars means the roof wouldn't fit back on, it'd fall through.

If you go for an earlier body style like 1920s or 30s with flat glass & straight up & down pillars chopping the roof would be much easier
& the glass would be cheaper too.
Another thing they do is channeling where they lower the body on the chassis, looks cooler than a roof chop in my eyes.
I've got an old hotrod mag at work that has a feature on doing this sort of stuff on a model A Ford & a 50s saloon, the old Ford looks a lot
less work than the compound curves of the later car.
Hi havent seen one of those in a few years i built one in 1978 for the road it had a 6.6 firebird motor in it and had roof chop and jag irs

I haven't seen a full fiberglass body for a car bu there certainly is one for a Fordson van. Roof chop on a pop is easy so long as you have sections to add. The glass is all flat so can be easily made to size from flat shhet at Autowindscreen. Had a couple in the past usual V8 jag rear good fun but not exactly practical as they handle badly short wheelbase, top heavy.
