I take the locost out for a spin and decide to get the wheels balanced and they are oval! Yes all 4 of them! They were compomotive split rims... thanks to the F%$#ing Maltese roads I drive on.
Thats alot of money down the drain in 1 day!

wow your roads must be bad, sounds like steel wheels are the way to go.

Most of them are, a few are decent.
They used the roads to test NASA's moon buggy.

Compamotive used to do a repair / parts service for the split rims.

Maybe drop them a line ( it might work out cheeper than a full set of new )

is it worth fixing them? would the same thing not just happen again...

I know my split rims use very soft metal for the rims, thats why I fitted high profile tyres

exactly, I have to put the split rims away and get normal alloys... damit
