Car emblems reading "2000"
carcentric - 10/11/03 at 06:50 PM

Were there any car models over there that had a chrome emblem with just the number "2000" on it?

I'm aware of the Triumph 2000 saloon of the late-'60s but don't know if it had such an emblem or not.

Info appreciated; links to pix VERY appreciated.

The emblem(s) on the right side of the bootlid aren't really legible, but this is the best picture I could find on the net.

Are the individual numerals ("2" and the three zeros) joined, or separate?

Is any other wording joined to the "2000" part (e.g., the "16v"?

Europa sell individual chrome letters and numbers, if that's any good.

Cheers

Thats my cavalier --/

its the GSi and the 2000 together, but from memory they are not joined

Rover 2000 either P6 or SD1 - the SD1 has separate letters on a solid badge background but I don't know if the letters are "individual" or integral.

I think another one would be the Sierra 2000E.

Mk5 Escort RS2000 has separate chrome letters. I used 'XR' from an XR3i and '2000' from and RS2000 to make XR2000 for the back of my Fez (it's a 2 litre XR2)

Reference number 7, except that it would read "2000" instead of "1000":

How about a badge from a Honda S2000?

Spyderman - 11/11/03 at 12:48 PM

I would imagine that the Rover P6 badge would be the nearest in style and size then to go with your Morris Traveller.

See if you can get one laser cut?

I'm following this one on eBay - it's from a Datsun 2000 roadster.
