I bought a heater fan of eBay a couple of days ago. Paid £7.00 for the postage. I got home today after a weekend away to find a note stuffed through the door. "left your fan in the bin". The bins are emptied on Mondays so the bin was completely empty. I've emailed the guy this information and asked for a full refund. what's my best course of action from here?
I know you won't like it but that is kind of funny ! What a brainless git...
I'm confused!! Did the guy deliver it himself or was it sent via the Post Office??
Oh dear!!! That is quite a stupid place to leave parcels!!! I'd get onto the person who sold it to you. After all, you've paid for the item and you haven't received it... Hopefully they'll have insured it...
If you paid with Paypal they will refund in full "goods not delivered" - but only if they can reclaim from the seller, fine as long as he hasn't closed his a/c (unlikely for a small amount, but as you've pointed out there are idiots around!). If paypal fail you, you can still reclaim from your credit card co. - again goods paid for but not delivered. HTH

The guy came round yesterday to deliver the parcel. No email or anything. I wasn't in so he apparently left the parcel in the bin. I did pay by pay pal so I'll get on to them once he's had a bit of time to send the refund through.
)??
So sorry but LOL!
You've got good bin-men. Ours don't empty the bin unless we put it out on the road for them.

Sorry mate but had to laugh a little bit, my dad always asks me to leave his borrowed tools in the wheelie bin and then forgets to come get them -
he's lost a tile cutter and an angry grinder that way
Once found a video tape of a hillclimb event in my coal cellar - left 6 months previously by a postie. Dried out fine and still played...
do you believe the saller came round with the item?
Could be the "left your stuff in the bin" scam or an April fool.
