This should be OK in the everything else section!
Looking for information on kerbweights for a 1998 to 2001 diesel estate of the Mondeo type.
Plus if you have any other details such as length fuel economy etc for 1800 or 2.0 litre it would be appreciated.
I am still doing searches in Google but find 99% new cars and dealers.
TIA

Question for anyone watching. How can a car that is 1340 kg in weight have a braked towing weight of 1500 kg.
I have always believed that the towed thing must be a maximum of 85% kerbweight of the tow vehicle, am I wrong on this?
Need to tow a caravan, yes I know many hate them. max weight of said item is 1250 kg so would have thought vehicles needs to be over 1470 kg
kerbweight.
Cheers

I think they take the maximum kerb weight of the car. (Kerb weight + permissible load) Then take the 85% of that. I think the 85% is the recommended maximum but I think you can legally go to the 100%.
