£3000 about 6 months ago.
Horrible car, the Mk4 Golf really was an over-rated piece of junk...

There's a difference between asking how much something is worth as Rayward has done - which is fine - and offering something for sale but then
making people guess how much it's worth to the seller for them actually sell it - which is just a pain in the a*rse quite frankly
go onto autotrader's website - you can get the current value after filling in a couple of boxes.
... or depress yourself by seaching for compleed items in ebay - this shows what cars have actaully sold for not some parkers make believe price book that is not quite in touch with reality.
If it helps, the only place I had sensible responses (and a sale!) was on PistonHeads. Most other forums were a total waste of time, and got me junk

It's a good place if your car's a bit special or out of the ordinary.
