Helpful thieving scumbags!!
Mr Whippy - 14/4/08 at 11:23 PM

PMSL yesterday when I came home and found my big double axle trailer had been stolen from my garden!!

Stolen just before I managed to take it to the scrap yard...to be scrapped

Sooo if anyone up north sees a pink (yes that's right pink!) very rusty trailer with big holes in the chassis and wobbly wheels, please tell the new owner to take it straight to the scrappy as it’s dangerous.

I just hope I don't come home and find its returned after me taking the Shogun back

Excellent. Lost you the scrap money though. Can u still claim of your insurance for it??

Scraps worth 95 quid a ton at the min.

Every cloud and all that, but I would still let the police know, theft is theft. What happens if the dangerous trailer causes an accident, it could come back on you.

(although, admiting its pink, very brave of you )

I was mostly just rust, I stopped using it when the front started buckling due to the holes, our local scrap place pleads poverty every time I go there, sitting in their leather seats and using their fancy computers! Got £10 for a huge big cement mixer that I could hardly transport, barely covered the fuel

I don't even think I ever took a picture of it cos it was so horrible

I never painted it pink, it was a special weld through paint that was sprayed on after it got sand blasted (that's when the holes appeared...)

Report it stolen, it'll hopefully add to their sentence if/when they are caught stealing something of value.

It would be a mad legal system where you retained any liability for it being in an accident, but as we have one of those so it's best to report it just to cover your ar*e.

Only trouble reporting it is you might get it back

Maybe a 'just to let you know I was preparing to transport my trailer to the scrapyard and it was stolen overnight it is not in a usable condition etc. etc.......' conversation is needed, gets you a crime number and you could then make a claim.....
