just been to local garage to fill up and they are selling lrp petrol @ 89.9p per litre. but unleaded is 106.

so if you have a older car it is cheaper to run than a modern car.

Last time I saw 4 star for sale about 2 months ago it was about £1.55 per litre

If it was me I'd be bringing all my cars and empty cans and filling up

Will the lead replacement petro FU a Cat converter?

ReMan - 15/4/08 at 08:12 PM

I thought it was only lead that did that?
And Diesel!

LRP can also destroy a cat and shouldn't be used in a car with one. No idea why though.

Where is the garage with it that cheap? Probably trying to sell it off as the tax is still the same as unleaded (or slightly higher) so there can't possibly be a profit in them at that price.

Did you buy it at this price or had the '1' falledn off before the '8' on he notice board.

(I've checked it is not April 1st.)
