Hi all,

Been keeping an eye at autograss racing for quite some time, wish I had the opportunity to atend one event some day.
Im quite keen on building something that resembles a class 8 when i finish with my locost.

Im just wodering, why only oval tracks??

This is an example of whats done in Portugal in terms of BEC offroad thingys:

it's been discussed before, but believe me, in a class 5 upwards, an oval is plenty enough to think about.

The racing is MUCH closer than circuit racing usually is (usually an "interference fit" in fact!!) and the super short races mean there's no "planning an overtake" its 110% from the startline to the flag.

Try it and you'll see, oval is enough!!

Whatever happened to the "star" 1st thing I have heard of him since ?

Dario M - 18/4/08 at 02:34 PM

Yes NS Dev, definetly it would be nearly impossible to drive something hayabusa powered for example on anything then an oval.

Hopefully I will attend one of these Autograss events someday. Wanna pick up some ideas to build a class 8 look alike.

Dario
