HELP - Searching never works, i'll even write a guide
MikeR - 29/4/08 at 12:30 PM

Folks,

I've tried often to search for stuff i know i've read. Most of the time my searches don't seem to work. Does anyone know where there is a guide to searching on this forum OR can someone point me towards the software, i'll read the notes and write the guide.

(this time i was trying to find something on prop shaft spacers - i remember its been discussed before but can't find anything)

Cheers, Mike

No offence to the people who do a wonderfull job with this forum, but the search feature is a bit hit and miss...

I tend to use google advanced search .....might be worth a poke!

Use google

after putting what you want add

site:www.locostbuilders.co.uk

e.g. propshaft site:www.locostbuilders.co.uk

this will just search that website

As above or on Google can use normal search bar and type whatever you're looking for followed by site:www.locostbuilders.co.uk (no spaces).

I think the problem is that the search facility looks for exact matches. If you recall who else was involved in the discussion you could try search that way?

edit - pdlewis beat me to it!
