Shame it's not road legal as that would be a cracking drive.

Dragon-Performance-Eu - 30/4/08 at 11:28 AM

£3k for the rolling chassis..... but £4k + vat for a new gearbox!!! Still - you know you want it Mr Whippy. All the races are down South (even from me!) it seems so bit of a hike to go race it!!Ouch!!!

Mr Whippy - 30/4/08 at 11:41 AM

you should have seen the bother I had trying to get a set of headlights for xmas! why is it always clothes?! Blokes don’t want clothes we want tools and bits for the cars and manly stuff not a jumper!

Even then I had to buy my motorbike jacket myself. Cos she hates the bike and won’t get anything to do with it.

yeah, not much different than a 7, they even have handbrakes, might take a glassfiber pod to cover the engine for the test, find it later in a dust bin in a layby afterwards

rallyingden - 30/4/08 at 12:29 PM

Dale - 30/4/08 at 01:34 PM

I hate to say it, but that is a car that is just crying for a bike engine-big one.
Well that or a cozzy.
I dont think the wife would go for a single seater though.

welderman - 30/4/08 at 01:41 PM

They tested a road going one on top gear last year

Humbug - 30/4/08 at 06:36 PM

Couldn't you make a substitute box from a Type 9 and a diff with no prop, just a joint with a flange on the back and a splined front? I know it would be a bit longer, but it would be cheaper than £4k

paulf - 30/4/08 at 09:32 PM

A Renault or Audi transaxle would be the best choice, I think a type 9 plus a diff wuld be to long to fit.
