What is the world coming to!

Have advertised my Porsche last night on pistonheads to fund garage and then hopefully building an MNR and have already have 2 emails and 3 phone calls from France wanting my account details as he "really want buy car have booked Eurotunnel please give me call with IBAN details". Errr.... yeah right.

I thought it was bad enough getting those rip off merchants phoning with buyers ready if only I fork out £80 with them but this is ridiculous. Another call as I type this !

Aaaaah!

Rant over.

Save the hassle - put your bank details on with the advertisement

A friend found this when he advertised his Nova kit car in one of the kit car mags. Constantly bothered by ridiculous foreign scams, most involving it being shipped and advanced payments. In the end he sold it to the previous owner out of frustration.

Must be one heck of a garage to cost the price of a Porsche, my 6.5 x 6.5 one is costing me the price of a second hand Vauxhall. I'll have to post more on my build, been distracted at work.

The point is though there must be a small number of people falling for these scams all the time, otherwise they would not bother

Ok so not just a garage to pay off. A few bills and some pebble dashing as well

An update. So far I have had 10 emails and over 15 calls from France, Belgium and Germany.

"I want buy your car please send me your IBAN account number"

Why don't you want to see it or even ask me anything about it?

"I give you £1000 deposit - send bank details"

Arrrggh !

On the plus side a professional tennis player and car collector from stuttgart is coming tomorrow in person and will leave me readies if he likes it. Thats more like it. Or otherwise I have a british chap from Cambridge coming on Saturday.

A bizarre day, I've never spoken to so many Belgians !
