Still picking bits of time sheet out me hair...........

Alright Fellas!
We're not team6 anymore, we are Team Travelodge/Vodka...
Picked up some sponsorship when they heard how well we got on...
That and they were holding a package for Tim, apparently his Porsche Membership Welcome pack has just arrived and is Gold Leaf and Ribbon'ed up
in congratulations and adorations...
Anyway, back to the post.
YYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
We are well up for it next year, but I don't think we'll bother bringing the wets as we never bothered changing onto them even after having
driven through the Pond in the middle of the circuit
Amazing the amount of grip that we had.
In case anyone is wondering, this is Steve posting and I have to say first of all:
Tim, never been happier having someone drive my car - you cained it and made me proud, driving it just like me!
Chris, thank F**k you knew what you were doing 'cos I didn't have a Scooby....
Joe, You were (and always are!) an absolute star!
Jon and Neal, Thank God you were there to give me enough s**t to get on it and tell me I could go faster even though it took some serious mod's
to my car to get it to handle as well as it did!!!
Cheers Fella's
Steve (and Tim!)

Okay, just to be different, it's actually me posting on my own log-in.
We've just got back having done a friend and family visiting relay on the way home.
What can I say? I'm still euphoric (albeit very tired) as a result of a fantastic day yesterday. I have to say thank you to some people:
- Steve - Thanks for inviting me to drive your car. I had a fantasic time. As you know, even if my car were finsihed it would not be eligible to
compete in the GOME event, so I'm grateful for your trust in letting me hammer your pride and joy around the circuit and I'm grateful for
the opportunity to get involved. Cheers mate - you're a complete star!
- Chris & Joe - Gents, you were brilliant support. I feel like I owe you your own weight in ale. Great organisational skills and equally good
humour. Perfect.
- Ison Snr & Jnr - Superb team mates - quick, relaxed and up for it. Top effort!
- James (Hicost) - We didn't actually meet but I just wanted to thank you for making us aware of the event. I hope you had as good a day as us.
Please please please can we do it again next year?
My highlights:
1. Getting behind the wheel for the first time to find a superbly balanced package which meant that I wasn't just keeping pace with the traffic
but driving around everything that got in my way. To not be overtaken all day has given me a new respect for Steve's highly developed (and
modifed) car as well as a smug grin. I should also say that it was my first time driving a BEC for 2.5 years so to feel comfortable so quickly says a
lot!
2. As someone already itching to go racing, it was brilliant to not be 'distracted' by the need to adhere to the usual trackday rules of
passing on the left only with consent etc. To 'stuff' the car up past someone in the braking zone is just about the most fun I've ever
had with my clothes on. Steve admittedly took this to extremes with one particular move. I wish we had video of us getting the jump on a whole train
of cars. Shy it wasn't.
3. As a passenger, the highlight has to be Stevo threatening to go straight on at the entrance to Edwina's only to make the turn by the skin of
his teeth - not once, not twice but three times on successive laps!
Lowlights:
1. Admin didn't prove to be my strong point. In my defence the briefing was sh1te and I was having a good time as a passenger and may have
forgotten once or twice. Steve's last session before lunch was also sooooo wet that I stood no chance. Frankly it was a miracle that the
time-sheet didn't just tear and blow off!
2. There was a racing incident, that I am still 100% sure wasn't my fault, but it still doesn't feel great watching the guy that
you're overtaking bump his car.
Anyway, the day was brilliant.
Thanks all - (who needs 6 litres of V8 or 400bhp of four-banger turbo? - Oh, that's another thread.)
