Who will sell me just a chassis?
donut - 23/5/08 at 07:01 PM

After having to buy a new tin top which put an end to my MAC1 build i have found that i do have a little spare cash, enough to get a chassis and wishbones/ nut & bolt pack.

I have asked MAC1 if they can sell me just the chassis which they may do, just waiting for the nod but was wondering if anyone knew anyone else who would sell just the chassis/wishbones if Mac1 wont.

This will at least get something in the garage and get me started.

I don't want a locost chassis, i want a proper jig built jobby. I know MK would, but thinking maybe out the box a little and looking at mid engine perhaps.

Over to you......

GTS are the most local to me but i just can't trust the guy. Shame really. I expect it wouldn't be so bad if i picked the stuff up myself rather than wait for delivery.

I thought that but was amazed when I got my body work in less than 10 days

joneh - 24/5/08 at 09:24 AM

Hold on, weren't you doing a cobra?

donut - 24/5/08 at 09:36 AM

I was but not anymore for various reasons that have already been explained. Basically the Sumo compared to decent kits looked and was pretty poor and decent kits are ££££.

Spoke to MAC1 this morning and things are looking good so far for a Mac1 chassis!

Within a couple of weeks I'll need to buy a widescreen monitor, just to fit your signature picture in!
Good luck with the new build.
