Just curious really. Just been out to fill up and noticed the guy/gal before me had spent £110 and put 87 litres in!! I only spent £63.50 on my 50
litres
Also made me wonder which cars have a combination of the largest tanks and in conjunction with good economy what's the longest range on a single
tank. I know jezza did london to edinburgh and back in the 4 litre v8 diesel audi (700 miles?) but there must be something better than that around? I
can do 600 miles off my 50 litres if i drive like a pansy. Believe audi a4 have 70 litre tanks and a frugal tdi should get a fair way on that?
Ned.
My Fury can get all the way to Le Mans (via Newhaven/Dieppe) on one tank...
Oh...you meant tin tops....dunno....
I'll let you know what the new 2.0 Diesel Mundao can do if and when Ford decide to deliver mine....
I was at a station in Guildford the other week too and noticed some matey in an A4 or A6 had just put circa £80 in the tank- didn't realise they
made tanks that big.
I got average of 47mpg from my 3 litre turbo diesel 3 series touring today on the M25 at 70. Shame I can only manage 23mpg in town, WTF?????/

Tourag takes £130....
I've been getting 28mpg (330 miles on a tank) from my focus day to day (lots of short trips) but then it is a 1.8 petrol
on long runs it gets about 40mpg or slightly more (near 400 miles on a tank)
only costs £55-60 to fill it, but I'm filling it every 8 to 10 days
in my old pug 106 (now Mango's Rust 2 Rome car) I got 37mpg day to day and 55mpg on long trips (not bad for a 954cc petrol with a carb and 4
gears
)

Limping home from Italy after crashing my Fury into a mountain I managed over 500 miles on a tankfull - but then it is a 45 litre tank and I was
limping along at around 50 mph........
Stylus - £20 to fill it from as empty as i dare go and is good for not much past 100 miles
1.4 Diesel company fiesta averages 56mpg (400miles/tank) although I've had 68mpg average Newcastle-Leeds-Newcastle.
It's gone from £38 to £48 to fill since the start of the year, nm tho, the company pays for that

550 miles per tank on my van (Scudo), and I tend to drive it like I stole it. It costs the company just under £100 to fill it up these days(usually
about 90 but 105 if I roll into the station on fumes), and i'm doing it every five days or so
