mmm - just had a kitkat that was 1/2 solid choc no biscuit... :-)

Mr Whippy - 30/5/08 at 09:07 AM

had that before, much better that way they should make a special version

mookaloid - 30/5/08 at 09:07 AM

It's great when that happens

A bit like getting a double yolk egg but better

Dangle_kt - 30/5/08 at 09:11 AM

But surely that prevents the only approved way of eating a kitkat? Nibble off choc round edges, then the top, then the wafer.

mistergrumpy - 30/5/08 at 09:14 AM

No no. That's only approved down South I believe. Us Northerners just eat it properly then get back down't pit.

Hammerhead - 30/5/08 at 09:15 AM

was it a kit-kat chunky or a standard 4 finger one? (these things matter to me)

I think a solid chuncky kit-kat would be very heavy

smart51 - 30/5/08 at 09:28 AM

Its not just me then? Someone should tell kit kat that its better without so much wafer.

wafer is probably a lot cheaper than chocolate. Kit-kat is responsible for around 50% of Nestles profits apparently.

I agree, the wafer is not nice and spoils it. Proper biscuit inside would be nicer or even better a chocolate biscuit! Yummy

Anyone who knows of such a thing must tell me immediately as I am getting hungry!

Its ok with the wafer but nothing special. Definately better without.
That said, would we be saying the opposite if it was supposed to be solid chocolate but had wafer in?

iank - 30/5/08 at 10:46 AM

The approved way to eat them at work is currently to nip both ends off a finger and then suck your coffee through the wafer.

Delicious if rather disgusting

Std 4 fingers of fun

chris_smith - 30/5/08 at 12:26 PM

does anyone eat the doubledeckers upside down too, you know eat the crunchy bit first then the nougat

matt_claydon - 30/5/08 at 12:41 PM

If you lot all prefer solid chocolate to wafer, why on earth are you buying a kitkat? There are plenty of chocolate bars available!

thats just wrong.

blakep82 - 30/5/08 at 01:46 PM

er, 1/2 chocolate and no wafer? that only makes half a kitkat surely?

eznfrank - 30/5/08 at 03:34 PM

Is it just me or is everyone deranged - this makes no sense at all. If you were so delighted it was semi-solid chocolate then why not just buy a solid (on indeed semi-solid) chocolate in the first place?!?!?!?!?

Rob Bartley - 30/5/08 at 03:39 PM

It's the sheer thrill of getting something you didn't expect

Not quite the same for a tax bill though!!

Long live choccy surprises but the only way to eat a kitkat is to nibble all the chocolate off 1st.........surely!!

blakep82 - 30/5/08 at 03:40 PM

i don't like the chocolate on a kit kat... i don't think its very good chocolate

Rob Bartley - 30/5/08 at 03:50 PM

Know what your saying. It is a bit cheapo tasting, but when thats all you got in then......beggars cant be choosers! As the dodgy old cliche goes.

that's how i make twix straws for tea.

best of all, it makes the caramel go all gooey and the biscuit all soggy.

far greater than the sum of its parts
tom

eznfrank - 30/5/08 at 09:18 PM

WHat's the deal with coffee and orange revels - frickin' morons

blakep82 - 30/5/08 at 09:21 PM

hot chocolate and cadburys mini eggs!

don't ask me how or why, but the chocolate melts, but keeps its egg shape, so when you get to the bottom of the drink, the mini eggs roll down the cup and burst on your tongue as soon as they hit it!

Hammerhead - 31/5/08 at 10:05 AM

this thread is amazingly informative.
