Split Rim Refurb
RazMan - 12/6/08 at 10:55 AM

I've just picked up a fun day tintop in the form of a Lexus Soarer. Great car but the polished alloy split rims have been badly curbed so I need to get a couple of them refurbed if possible. Does anyone know of the best way to get this done?
I think they would need to be faced off on a lathe to get back to good metal but haven't a clue if this is feasable.

Dunno about how they'd handle non-factory produced wheels, but Image Wheels (Dudley area) certainly do that sort of thing on their products. They've straightened/replaced rims that I've slammed into the metal stuff at Cadwell.

There's a number of places that do this.

Don't know any over your way, but Bracknell Tyre & Battery will organise it over in this neck of the woods...

Cheers guys, I'll ask a couple of the local refurb franchises and see what they can do.
