This could change the way Ebay works forever, Hermes has successfully taken them to court for allowing fakes to be sold on their web site:

why is it eaby's fault though?

they cannot possibly have the staff to verify every single item is genuine, and if they did, it would probalby take several weeks to read through every advert.

down side will be that fees ewill go up.

i posted a Baracdi "zippo style" lighter on there once and they removed it because i refered to Zippo without it actually being one.

For me they need to stop this selling of concert and festival tickets so I can actually get them at face value

I aggree, I do think Ebay should get a very good kick up the backside, but it should be for the way it treats its sellers and acts as a monopoly.
This is completely out of Ebay's control any more than advertising a counterfit bag for sale in the local paper, unless specifically reported for investigation, else as mentioned the overhead in ime or money would be unworkable
