My new ride
donut - 12/6/08 at 07:20 PM

Here we go again......

Bought this yesterday from ebay. Much better than expected so very happy.

It has a blown engine which was going to be removed anyway so got it for a good price.

Plans (yes i intend to do this one )

Change engine to Xflow (old skool style)
Modded X member
Modded suspension to lower the car and bring the front wheels in which include coil overs.
Steering box to rack conversion
105e rear axle
4 or 5 spd gearbox which means new trans tunnel
Custom track control arms, modded anti roll bar and full poly bush kit.

wide wheels and lower than a pair of whores draws!!

Benzine - 12/6/08 at 07:22 PM

Awesome

carpmart - 12/6/08 at 07:22 PM

What that needs is bubble arches, atlas axle and a cossie engine

why dont you kit it out with 2 15" subwoofers and 10 6x9 speakers as well, just for effect, you could always swop the wheels for some deep dish alloys, will compliment your lowered suspension perfectly

ahb - 12/6/08 at 07:30 PM

Rebadge as Trabant and sell number plate for small fortune!!!!
Nice one.

mmm he's right. that would be hot! seriously

Humbug - 12/6/08 at 07:41 PM

Forget the Xflow - strip out the interior to lose some weight and use the bike engine you've got!

MikeRJ - 12/6/08 at 07:47 PM

Fix engine, keep it standard and clean.

donut - 12/6/08 at 07:56 PM

Bike engine..he he. I think i would have to loose about 10 stone to get the ting moving Mind you it's possible to get most panels in fiberglass!!

Anyhoo this is how low i want mine.

No speed bumps in your neck of the woods then?

mookaloid - 12/6/08 at 08:04 PM

Well I like it

Good choice mate just make it go and handle and you've got a very cool car there

Cheers

Mark

donut - 12/6/08 at 08:16 PM

Cheers mookaloid.

Desyboy is going to help me with some of the fabrication and telling me what i need. Most old ford parts fit any other ford but the 100e needs alot of tweeking and modded parts to get them to fit which is why they are rare as modded cars, no one can be bothered to do the work.

MikeRJ: As long as i keep the clearance to no less than 4 - 4.5 inches i should be ok....and just be careful which roads i choose to drive down. My Indy was 4.5" and i had no probs with that..... the 5 weeks i had it!!

Miks15 - 12/6/08 at 08:17 PM

good choice!

will look good when done! Just not in the colour as above

What colour u thinking for it donut?

jacko - 12/6/08 at 08:36 PM

n/s front/side
n/s front/side

How about using a skyline engine like we are in the mk1 escort

engine 2
engine 2

donut - 12/6/08 at 08:37 PM

Keeping it the same colour. The body id really good and it was sprayed 10 years ago so no need to change plus i love the colour.

donut - 12/6/08 at 08:38 PM

Skyline engine..... Blimey!

Miks15 - 12/6/08 at 08:44 PM

austin man - 12/6/08 at 09:55 PM

dont screw with the body lower it and stiffent it keep to a ford engine. and make some heads turn.
Look at the Austin a35 I ran caught many a young lad out from a standing start

skodaman - 12/6/08 at 11:44 PM

Just make it handle,go and stop better and try and keep it looking much the same. Nice car.

donut - 13/6/08 at 05:56 AM

Thats the plan stan!!

Body and interior will remain as standard as poss. Deff Ford engine and it's going to suck onto the road like a snail......sooooo looooow

Omni - 13/6/08 at 09:22 AM
