Anyone just seen the news?
No but i guess you're talking about fuel prices?
you will have to give a bit more info than that.
Just paid 133.9 per litre of diesel thought that was bad.
The owner said he put the price up to 1.99 per litre to ensure there was some left for his regular customers.
Greedy robbing bstard
I heard about that on the radio this morning. How long before others follow?
Is the strike not over then? when the last fuel strike happend there was a garage local to me that put his prices up(took the p*ss) because he was the only garage with fuel, after the strike was over nobody used him, he went bust not long after.
Luckily at the end of the news article they did say the price had just been put back down to 120 odd.
He even stopped taking credit and debit cards.
If a local garage did that near me i would never darken there doors again (unless im totally stuck) no matter what the price went back down to.
I thought it bad enough that the petrol station local to Newlands Corner had run out of RON95 and I had to use V-power99..... 125p/L
Not really
sure it drove differently either despite what Shell say about preventing carbon build-up, better acceleration etc etc....
i think his point is that he only had a small amount of fuel left and didnt want it wasted on idiots who dont need it. If someone rolled past on
vapours they would be stuffed if it had all sold out. Now im sure they wouldnt actually be happy to pay 199, but if they only need 5 litres to get
home, it makes sense. If the fuel was cheap it would've all sold.
a better policy would maybe have been to only sell it to someone with an empty tank...
