
hi all wondered if anyone could shed some light on the title, its a car im going to look at but it states in the ad that it changes gear fine but only
at high revs, any ideas before i go see it? is the box goosed? am i wasting my time? its a 2l '98 ghia x

Could be just low on oil or filter blocked
or could be shagged, or problems with the torque converter or with the fuelling set up. I would think that the ecu take part control of the kick down which affects gear change. Its that long ago since I worked on an auto (Vauhaul Cavalier Coupe) to give you an idea, I had similar problems. The problem had something to do with the carb setting affecting kickdown, it also started slipping during gear change
mundingo boxes are well known for dying at about 70,000 miles,no parts are available only exchange boxes from frauds so unless you are buying it to
break,its best avoided
was the plan to use for 12mth before using engine oh well ill leave it be, thanks for the input guys
