Youtube in trouble
Tim 45 - 3/7/08 at 03:43 PM

In the news today - YouTube are having to disclose details of all its users, the videos they watched, the videos they searched for and the videos they uploaded to media giant Viacom.

Seems a bit of an invasion of privacy.

I dont log in when looking at videos, so no invation. Obviously some people on here with their more....mature (blue) tastes have to log in

Why do they want to know though?

I'm assured (by other people) that there are no rude videos on You Tube, not even a little peek of something like a lady's chest stuff

Its all to do with copyright infringements for Viacoms programs.

One big company going after another basically...

Maybe its cos you can search ' how to make a bomb' and get all the info you need to make one.

I'd have to say I don't blame Viacom, their (and others) copryrighted material is all over YouTube.

If you own something, would you want other people to use it FOC?

They'd look at IP addresses anyway, Not logins.

It does however still tell them who your ISP is and they can work out the rest. Guess how I found that one out.
