My "new" TinTop (i.e. a 7year old Focus) will soon be due its first set of tyres since I got it
Its on 195/60 R15's
currently its got some arrowspeed's - these are quite good in the dry, but useless in the wet
1st priority for new ones is wet grip (braking + cornering)
next is the dry grip (braking + cornering )
then aquaplaning
then fuel economy + wear (I don't do that many miles)
and lastly comfort, noise etc
and all for an absolute max of ~£70 per tyre (preferably less obviously)
at the moment I like the look of these:
www
.vredestein.co.uk
the lower spec vredestein's I had on the 106 were the best I found for the car (limited choice for 13"
What would you all recommend ?

Go to Black Circles there are loads on there well in your price range with fitting included. For the money I think Toyo Proxes are the nuts but they are a bit soft and not as good in the wet. The oodyear Hydragrips are £63.94 fitted and get a 5 Star customer rating.
Have a look for the Toyo Proxes CF1 kinda like performance tyres for your family car!
I have used uniroyal rainsports for years, but I think they are only available in 195/55
Goodyear eagle F! gsd3s are amazing, but a little more expensive.
I bought vredesteins as an experiment on mums car and theyre pretty damn good, wear VERY wel too. we got HiTracs, not sure on the others.
personally I dont rate yoko A539, or toyo proxes.
