He was the guest speaker at an awards ceremony I attended. Very funny. I can't remember anything he said now, tho that was probably more to do with the champagne when we got there...

There's probably a very good reason why Hague was lined up to humiliate Harman - she's rumoured to be the front-runner for Prime Minister if (when?) Brown gets the push.

I've heard it said several times that Hague is a very gifted speaker.
I think it was on the BBC's 'This Week' that I heard that when leader of the opposition whenever he spoke he would take chunks out of Blair.

It was just that as 'Tory Boy' he never looked or sounded right to win an election.

I've heard him on the radio a few times talking about historical subjects and he's an extremely knowledgeable, intelligent guy.

EDIT: Plus, although what happens at PMQ's might reverberate around Westminster village, it hardly makes an impact on the general population does it!!!
