Im looking into buying a TIG welder of some description...

One capable of doing Ali would be a bonus, but I think given the price of them, I would happliy settle with one that does mild and stainless steel for now!


Looking on ebay there are a load of TIG welders....What models/specs should I be looking at....and how much should I be aiming to spend?

Ive got a Rehmann and I am happy for what I paid.

I wouldnt bother with anything that hadnt got Hf start.

Also bear in mind that Tig uses a LOT of gas, much more than Mig, so check out your Argon costs before you commit your hard earned cash
