hmm....need more facts on that one really....I hate smokers...but agree that its gettiing a bit crazy!
It's not big brother that's the problem here. It's his little brother. It's that iritating sort of little person who gets
given a little bit of power, then trips out on wielding it. 
It's a law now so don't break it.

Agree with smoking or not, this is taking things to the limit.
The same government and lobbyist will soon get round to banning old and kit cars and anything which doesn't come off a mainstream production line
or is less that 10 years old, other european countries ar part way there........
I assume you all know which is as far as I'm aware the only bar in the UK you can still smoke legally ?
Utterly stupid.
Even if it is technically against the law, what on earth would make the council guy actually fine him rather than just take no notice?

That story is boll*cks,I am doing a lot of decking at the moment,Had that been me in the van smoking the nail gun may have gone off in his direction.
hmm, but its NOT against the law. its illegal to smoke in a works van (like if you work for the council, or parcel force or something) but if its his
own van that only he drives, then its not illegal
or is that just scotland?

Yup, smoker or not you have to agree it is one of the most hypocritical one rule for them one rule for us decisions ever to come out of the "house"
