If it hasn't been registered won't it be a bit of a pain to get it registred now? Doubt the DVLA will agree to age-related when it's never been on the road....

No probs with age related providing they can show when it was current.
Wonder if it's similar to my bike which the owner left with a storage company and then "disappeared" - believe he was detained at Her Majesty's Pleasure and/or deported!
