Recently I've been having a very strange time in the garage where everything seems to be going well!!!!
I'm making up a plastic plenum for my EFi conversion and everything seems to be going my way in the most unlikely ways.
e.g.
"Somehow I need to connect some 100mm ventilation ducting to some 110mm soil and vent pipe..... Oooh look the vent pipe is a perfect push fit
inside the soil pipe"
"If I take off the throttle position switch off my k-tronic "made in West Germany" throttle body I wonder if it will have a D shape
spindle which I can adapt to fit the throttle pot of my Rover 200 throttle body.... ooh look it's a perfect fit, no adapting needed, just a small
ali bracket"
"I wonder what size tube is on the bottom of the ST1100 carbs. It would be nice if it was plumbing size then I could use some high temperature
polypropylene pipe and use solvent connectors for the 45 and 90 degree bends.... ooh look it's 40mm exactly- the same as the solvent
pipe...."
"I wonder what strange old size bolt is used on the throttle bracket mount on the side of the old West German K-tronic throttle body... Probably
UNF or something strange I'll have to order.... ooh look its M8- got tons of those of various lengths"
It's getting scary- things are going much too well. I wonder what's around the corner

Well, you won't find funny threads on a German car often. Everything on even the earliest beetles is Metric.

under me
