Will they work through glass or do they have to be outdoors?
Cheers

should do with a little reduction of signal but why do want a sky dish in your lounge
Well I don't but someone I know has had sky installed but they didn't check to see if the lease permitted a dish on the outside of the flat
- it doesn't!
They now have a years sky to pay for but can't have a dish. I was wondering if they set it up just inside the lounge window they could use it but
have an interesting talking point for the next 12 months

Looks like it depends on the glass type used and the size of the dish....
oh I see,bit of a pest.Worth a try,get a little sat finder of ebay for a few quid
Flat satellite dish?

Cant see it would work your window would have to face the right direction and the attenuation from the glass and building would kill the signal.
Cheers,
Bob
As said, the dish should work with some attenuation of the signal, depending on the type of glass. There used to be a sexy Swedish horn antenna which was designed to go indoors but I don't know if there is a SKY version. Some glass has metalised coating to reflect heat and that would not be good news. But as long as he can see out in the right direction (somewhat east of south) it's worth a try.
no it doesnt work........ stick a hidden dish in the back of the flats and on the ground.
there is hidden dishes available
Has it a flat roof that is accessable but out of sight from the ground?
Just a thought and you probably know where this thought process is going!!!
See ya soon
