Holly moly, what a pants movie
BenB - 10/8/08 at 09:32 PM

It's not often I give up on a movie but shamoan!!

Rented out (unfortunately) The Darjeeling Limited... Now I normally like Fox Searchlight movies even if they often focus more on ambience and dysfunction than plot or comedy but wow. What a pile of pants.

I wanted to give up after about 45 minutes and for my sins carried on until about 70 minutes.....

Definately one to avoid......

Visually quite memorable but where's the plot? Or interest?

is it about tea bags?

BenB - 10/8/08 at 09:48 PM

If it was about watching tea bags go mouldy it would have been more interesting.....

a lonely tea bag finds true love and a meaning for his life when he meets some hot water in a dingy back street cup, unfortunately his dream of a meaning full relationship ends when milk comes into the equation

I don't think I lasted 20mins after watching the short beforehand as well!

if you think that is bad you should check out SHROOMS & THERE WILL BE BLOOD with Daniel Day Lewis, got to be the most awful films i have ever seen in my life!

When I saw the title I thought you were gonna slag off Batman for a minute.

I saw that last night..... it was bloody brilliant!!!

That's the 2nd Heath Ledger film I've seen in a couple of weeks.... a real loss that he's gone!

Gone in a blaze of glory? About 28 years old I think? That puts him almost in the bracket of Jimmy Hendrix, Janice Joplin, Kirt Cobain club who all died 27. Not too shabby eh? Dying at your peak like a true star.
Just noticed Brandon Lee died at 28 too whilst filming the Crow. Sumat about them late 20's.

List of stars in there 20s is shocking:

River Phoenix , 23
James Dean, 24
Jim Morrison, 27
Tupac Shakur, 25
The Notorious B.I.G., 24
Sid Vicious, 21

Im sure that list will grow lots too, i would imagine Amy Winehouse wont last long.
