Is it possible to find an address from a land line phone number and if so how ?

I don't think you can, you can get a phone number from an address but not the other way round

Would be handy if we can, while I was away Mrs thought a £200 deal on a Wii and a few games would be a good idea, paid via paypal, no Wii, we have phone number but nothing else, an address would be very nice..........

have you tried putting it in Google, if it's a business it often has the answer.

Wonder what would happen if someone ebayed the seller a question to ask if cash on collection was ok?

If you used ebay that is.

I'm pretty sure that some of these private detectives firms offer this service at a small price. It's called reverse something or other. I seem to recall having cause to do it once and scouring google. Didin't do it in the end though

if you paid via paypal you can go on the paypal site and make them aware that you have not recieved your item from the seller, to get a paypal account they have to submit a valid postal address. paypal will then freeze their account (and yours, possibly) until the other person contacts paypal in person.

i would probably say this is you best course of action, after ringing the number and asking the F***ker where you Wii is!, if he says he's posted it then ask for a tracking number!

Keep an eye out for a government laptop with millions of people's details? check trains, public places etc

Jon Ison - 7/9/08 at 10:15 AM

paypal was used, claim as been filed, this is there response so far, I cant see how they cannot grant a refund given our recent experiences with them when we had every bit of proof possible we had posted and delivered an item yet still found in the buyers favour ?

"Status
The seller has responded to our request for tracking information. We haven't confirmed the tracking information yet but wanted to share it with you.

Tracking number: 52212134532
Delivery company: UK Cannot Provide Tracking "
