Wow...common sence, and the balls to protect his own.....
Much repsect!
Yes,just watched that on the news, very lucky girl, quick thinking of the guy to run to the river, easy to panic and not think straight in that
situation,well done that man
seems like a miracle to me, what are the odds of her not getting stuck down there? Shame about their dog but that guy must be the happiest man around today.
very very lucky indeed.
people do not appreciate the force of flowing water.
in theose "world's most horrendous video" type program, there was simialr situation in Australia.
Workers were clearing out a drainage channel, one of them figure out it had flooded becasue of bags of rubbish throun into the drain, he removed them
and whoosh - he got sucked down, maybe 3 ft of water and he was huge bloke, fortunately too huge to go through drain otherwise he'd be a gonna.
there were 3 firemen holding his head above water until the level droppwed - a very close escape.
Seen this on the news last night. That is one very lucky little girl she could so easily have got stuck.
Fair play to the bloke, I have a daughter the same age and I the thought of loosing her that way just doesn't bear thinking about.
Perhaps it wasn't too clever to let the little girl go off and play in a flooded park. Fair play to the guy for going in and getting her out though.
To put it in perspective and it wasn't mentioned there, the dog which went down at the same time has still not been found. It's nice to hear a happy ending.
Saw that news report on our local news last night. It has got to be a miracle. Could have so easily turned out a lot worse. I still cant believe how
easily it happened and how quick thinking her father was. Defo a hero. It must have been very frightening to just have to enter a raging river to pull
her out without having to rush to the river 70m away first not knowing if she would come out alive.
At a guess it would appear the dog got stuck, shudder to think what could have happened to the girl if she was a bit bigger or had some loose
clothing..............
Don't think the word proud will have entered his thoughts...
Relieved, Overjoyed and Reflective are the ones that would spring to mind!
