I would love a proper beetle...done up like that....with a porsche turbo engine in the boot

blakep82 - 19/9/08 at 07:38 PM

back wheels of the beetle say too low

the van look sweet though!

Stott - 19/9/08 at 07:42 PM

No such thing as too low, not until it wont move!!!!

A work mate of mine had a camper with "how low can you go" written in the back window, and the number plates on hinges................................

JoelP - 19/9/08 at 07:42 PM

vans a bit rusty, but that beetle would be well cool if it had adjustable air suspension

blakep82 - 19/9/08 at 07:44 PM

^ haven't you seen the rat rod thread?!

CRAIGR - 19/9/08 at 07:48 PM

Get both of them much lower than that in the crusher at the scrappies .Save them causing big tailbacks in the surrounding area.

Flamesuit on and done up

Too low - what's the point of a car you can't drive - unless it's a Citroen.

Yeh OK I'll get my coat.

owelly - 19/9/08 at 08:33 PM

All cars seem like that when I sit in them.....

SeaBass - 19/9/08 at 08:37 PM

That split screen is v nice. I have one sat in my folks garage in Brum - a 65 fire engine von Deutschland. It hasn't moved in 5 years - but it's in a very dry heated garage.

I'm with you on this - the air cooled VW scene just leaves me colder than Mick McCold from Coldsville - I just don't get it.

Only worsened by VW's (and BMW's for that matter) w8nky attempt to extract more money from dribbling fashion junkies incapable of resisting

Sorry Donut - I don't like them high, low or any other way

Simon - 20/9/08 at 12:11 AM

I had an oval window beetle until I slipped (several times) with the angle grinder and it fell into a dozen pieces.

Same thing happened to my '73 1300.

Tragic

If I can scan a pic of my 1300, I'll post it, as it was quite low!!!

i test a few local beetles each year and the lowest one gets less than a thousand miles out of a pair of back tyres before the wires are hanging out of the inside edge
