I've just been looking at the Robin Hood Zero, and it appears to be a much better car than what they have produced in the past.
I been on the Robin Hood Owners forum, but I can't find much feedback on there.
Has anyone had any experience with the new Zero on here. Looks very similar to Locost/MK Indy design and a nice looking car for its relatively cheap
price tag.
What do you all think?
Rather than looking at the kit price, you really need look deeper and see what a true overall build cost is going to come to.
They appear to be cheaper but end up costing more in the long run to get the same finish as a top quality kit
my advise is dont touch them they are crap
I thought this might be the case.
Looking at their previous models, I would not touch them with a double length barge pole. I though that they may have changed them for the better.
The Rear end set up on the Zero also looks a bit doggy.
I have an RH....and its shite...
The zero is better, but it woint work out much cheaper at the end of the day....
Go for something proper!
They had a write up on the Zero in a recent Kitcar mag, either Kitcar or Complete Kitcar. The report was very favourable, said it was a vast improvement on anything they'd previously done.
Wot e said ^^^
Kitcar October 2008.
Where are they based now ? Went by there place last weekend and it looked deserted, was told by a.n.other they had moved ?
I was at their place on Wednesday.
Found them very friendly and helpfull.
As for their stuff.......hmmmm
Think you get what you pay for
I bought a pair of seats, an exhaust can,
4 bonnet catches, and a pair of rubber mounts for the can.
All for the princely sum of 200 sov's
20% discount just by asking
This is the address I went.

the same friendly people that knowingly took peoples money and made sure the company switched over to their hands relatively cheaply , by writing down
the value of everything the company owned knowing full well , it was worth a lot more .
and the self jigging plasma cut rear uprights well , ill leave that to your own imagination .
saying that , they nicked some of my ideas for the zero .
They have moved then, they used to be at Mansfield Woodhouse.
I have got a RH and have to say that they are the sort of car you 'engineer' as opposed to a car you 'build'.
Mine is not too bad but there is plenty of stuff that could be done better and some big chunks of the car are not built to their instruction but to
engineering common sense!!
Haven't seen much of the zero but I think you should decide what sort of project you want. If you just want a 'bolt it together' sort
of build then steer clear of GBS.
As a company they seem to be a lot better than they were but then again they were truly sh!te before being taken over.
Chris
Its the same idiots that ran it before after tricky sold up
I have a RH too, it's crap too
won't be when I'm done, but seriously, no no no no no no
It's probably better than their previous cars but that's not saying much. There are lots of other cars out there with better reputations..... I'd need a seriously good reason to build a Zero....
That's one manufacturer down, I better start looking into the others!!!
