"A spokeswoman for Land Rover said: ‘We have had no involvement in this project." I completely understand their sentiment! Not my cup of tea.
Sorry, that wasn't much of a discussion was it?

Nib, you will have to come to one of our Northampton meets mate. There you can ask this question of the 'other' vehicle enthusiasts that attend on the same night as we do. I'm sure that you will be their friend for ever.

"A Ferrari 430 can only develop 483bhp" which isn't strictly true. Yes, it may develop that in showroom trim but can develop considerably more. Sorry, I'm being a pedant again. And while I'm at it, you would think that a motoring correspondent would know that it is brake horse power, not break horse power

mr henderson - 29/9/08 at 08:35 PM

Perhaps it will be ready by April 1st

But it was from the Daily Mail.

"Land Rover Sports Car" - errrrrrr, yeah right!! Ferrari, Porsche et al will be quaking in their boots. Pointlessly powerful really (just like a 500bhp se7en).

Yeah, but only about 100bhp per tonne based on the size of the thing!

you wouldn't get me anywhere near that thing until they had a roll cage welded in. Power + high ground clearance + off road set up = roll + certain death?

The most powerful options available to buy will be able to churn out an impressive 700 break horse power.

break being quite appropriate - I doubt the drivetrain will survive very long.

totally pointless but why not?

Im not too sure. Looking at the aerodynamic qualities of it, i think it might struggle to pick up enough speed
