MGB or Triumph? They're just knock-off wire wheels.

You'll need to know the splines and threads to be sure exactly what they'll fit or the hubs you'll need to source.

brilliant thank you
will there be any specific markings on the wheels or is it just a case of counting the splines in the centre of the wheel??

DRC INDY 7 - 30/9/08 at 04:49 PM

Jaguar xk 120,140 or 150

eccsmk - 30/9/08 at 04:51 PM

If they've got numbers then you might be lucky.
But number of diameter, width, splines, bore and number of spokes should give enough information for some educated guesses/googling.

Could be Jag, but look a bit small from the picture.

DRC INDY 7 - 30/9/08 at 05:06 PM

The jag ones we had on a xk150 where 15"

eccsmk - 30/9/08 at 05:13 PM

2.1/2" centre hole
60 spoke
lettering on the rim says
rsm 4.1/2 j 14 D

Richard Quinn - 30/9/08 at 05:20 PM

MGB / GT wires

r1_pete - 30/9/08 at 05:21 PM

60 spoke 4.5j x14 they're almost certainly MGB.

eccsmk - 30/9/08 at 05:24 PM

thanks folks

iank - 30/9/08 at 05:28 PM

14" Diameter 4.5" wide 60 spoke.

http://www.britishwirewheel.com/wheels.htm

implies they are probably from an MGB

Some information on their care and feeding

See if you can sell them on to the MG boys would be the obvious answer. Dont think they will be worth a huge amount though - really depends on condition but new ones are available too

mackei23b - 30/9/08 at 09:04 PM

Some Morgans also had wire wheels.

Cheers
