need quick help with digital photo frame
Moorron - 21/10/08 at 07:07 PM

Right i need some advice and i cant find any on the web. Going to visit my mum and dad in spain on thursday this week and was going to get them a digital photo frame so they can ooohhh and aaaahhh at family photos when they are feeling down. But they dont have a pc over there so they can only use their cameras SD card to copy to the internal membory of the photo frame.

But everywhere i look it says nothing about this function but says alot about how easy it is to copy from the connected pc which makes me think you cant copy from the card and only use it to display from which is no good to them as they need the card in the camera to use.

So, does anyone know if its 'normal' (as i would expect) to copy from the card to the internal memory of the frame without the need for a pc?

looking at
Sony DPF-V700 and Hitachi HDF-7082 which both have internal memory.

The guy in currys said they didnt have internal memory (website says otherwise) and wouldnt even get a box so i could see the specs.

As above - get one with a few slots.

Get one with a slot for a card and buy them another card - then they can have one in the camera and one in the frame - they are cheap as chips now, and small will do as the photo frames havn't got much resolution....

Link to Manual for Sony Device

Looks like it will allow you to copy to internal memory ("add to album", page 10)
