I dont know the brand, becuase there just 'the ones that look like that from there' but most of the people at the union (lighting rigging) are wearing fabric boots that are very comfortable and quite cheap.
- They basicaly look like trainers, but with toe caps. No midsoles however. If you need them.

have a look at
http://www.arco.co.uk
i wear trainers with safety toecaps (cofra predator)
they raise some eyebrows but they do comply

Riggers or Dr Martens ar comfortable or you could be a chave and go all out for Timberland.

YQUSTA - 26/10/08 at 10:34 PM

Riggers are the best imho comfy and warm

Richard Quinn - 26/10/08 at 10:59 PM

We're not allowed riggers on some clients sites now as they are saying that they don't provide enough ankle support.

Have a look on Cromwells site, they have some nice hiking style work boots.

I'm also voting for Doc Martins from Arco -about £45 and worth every penny

bigfoot4616 - 26/10/08 at 11:39 PM

these dickies

very comfortable and long lasting. cost me about £40 a year or so ago, so unless they have gone up a lot should be cheaper than that site elsewhere

edited to add cheaper link

Look at http://www.nisbets.co.uk/

OK they are Caterers, but their prices and delivery is pretty good.

I buy a lot from them now.
They have lots of good quality stuff at reasonable prices.

Also pretty good for catering stuff as well

Cheers

Geoff
