Nothing in Cambridge at the moment, in fact I've just been out for a ride in the Luego . Had a very slight covering yesterday which has now all gone

We've had a similar light dusting here.
Apparently the real stuff arrives in about half an hour.

Light dusting of snow

I agree, I love it when it snows, not just because of my kids reaction but it just brings out the kid in me. Im out on the road for a living and I still want loads.....bring it on LET IT SNOW HERE!!!!

JoelP - 28/11/10 at 03:31 PM

dropping heavy in leeds now. About 2" appeared on friday night but i think this is the big one I have purloined the wifes jeep for work tomorrow so not bothered how much comes

T66 - 28/11/10 at 03:39 PM

Morpeth, Northumberland

Saab hasnt been out since Wednesday, neither have any of the neighbours.

Since I took the picture of the Saab we have had another 3-4 inches of snow.

iank - 28/11/10 at 04:42 PM

6-7 inches on the ground. Roads passable without much trouble once you get off the estate.
Not looking forward to going to work at 7am tomorrow down the A1 though, and the company car park is likely to be a skating rink again.
I'm not too worried about this week, but next week metcheck claims temperatures won't get above -2 all week.

mcerd1 - 28/11/10 at 05:59 PM

tomorrow morring is going to be interesting - the sun came out for a wee while this afternoon, just enough to melt the surface a little....

and now its all frozen hard again......

Peteff - 28/11/10 at 06:38 PM

We got about 5" of snow Saturday morning and none since but it hasn't moved much even though the sun was out. The thermometer in the greenhouse read -6C as last night's lowest temperature. More snow forecast for tonight by metcheck.

Richard Quinn - 28/11/10 at 07:40 PM

It tried a bit on Friday which lasted about 20 seconds but nothing since. Bloody cold though.

jabs - 28/11/10 at 09:00 PM

It's been gridlock in harrogate for the past 4 hours due to idiots who don't know how to drive in the slow. Even flagged one bloke done who was all over the place because he forgot to take his hand brake off. He said " wondered why it was all over the place" muppet

l0rd - 28/11/10 at 09:55 PM

I used to go out every night that Christmas when it was -20. There was about 30" of snow.

And there was me driving every night with no snow chains and summer tires.

I was doing about 20-30mph. Ohhh so much fun.

Bring the snow innnnnn and let all the muppets who can't drive at home and not on the road.

Last year i nearly crashed after driving for 40 miles and only 10miles away from work, a muppet decided to pull out on the road and then stopped in the middle of it as his car was full of snow and he couldn't see.

coozer - 29/11/10 at 05:55 AM

Well its been coming down heavy all night here, another 3~4" I reckon.

Here's the A1M at 4.30 this morning. Bit blurry but you get the idea!

l0rd - 29/11/10 at 08:28 AM

Light snow showers tomorrow.

Damn i have to go to work this week.

mcerd1 - 29/11/10 at 09:27 AM

we had a proper snow storm last night thunder, lightning and another 5" or more

driving to work was fine but parking is a different story (getting throught the walls of snow the gritters have left)

David Jenkins - 29/11/10 at 11:40 AM

I'm working in Copenhagen for a few days - the weather's FAR better than that! just a bit of snow on the ground, and that has been pushed off the roads and pathways.

Amazing when you consider that this place is only about as far north as Newcastle (certainly not as far as Edinburgh) and the wind's blowing from the north-east...

Mind you - the airport was closed for a while this morning - I hope they don't do that to me on Wednesday afternoon...

I must get new glasses (or concentrate a bit more) - I read that as "the sun came out for a wee", which is a novel concept...
