OT: Now I know why it's called a "Storm"
I went to change my provider from Orange to Vodaphone and was persuaded to get the Blackberry storm instead of the Samsung Omnia or N96. Delivery was
arranged for Monday (two weeks after ordering).
Got a phone call from Vodaphone to say they haven't recieved the phone so I would be getting a text to say when it would be delivered sometime
this week.
Text came last night at 16.50 for delivery today saying to make sure someone is in between 8am and 6pm.
We all work (daughter goes to college)and I am working nights, so I make arrangements for my wife to leave a note on the door, I short change myself
on sleep etc.
I wake up to a text message to say that the phone will be at least 24hrs delayed.
I ring vodaphone (about the 5th time) to be told that my phone hasn't been ordered.................are they kidding?
Phone calls, text messages and no phone.
As I am on the phone I get an email "Hello Martin from vodaphone....order your blackberry now for guaranteed delivery....."
They said they could deliver Monday but I am on a 2391 course for 4 days. They offer to deliver there.................so I am on an intensive course
and I can see it now, interrupting a class that has cost all of the attendees £595!
I have given them the ultimatum of tommorrow or cancel............I'm waiting....
It's called a storm for the wrong reasons.................Vodaphone are a shambles.............rant over!
PS. can anyone recommend a provider and phone?
I want unlimited internet/emails and a phone with sat nav (gps built in)
Cheers Martin

Arent you asking too much to expect a communications giant to be able to give you clear and effective communication?
i think its all swings and roundabouts with all of the providers. For everyone who gets superb service there will be others that get poor.
I bet the storm is a bit over ordered after the advertising on TV. They are probs having issues getting hold of enough to fulfill the promises they
have made.

Yeah, it's a shame it got delayed in the first place but it's not their fault you aren't easily able to accept delivery now it is
available. Haven't you got a retired couple of curtain twitchers nearby to take in your deliveries? I don't know how we'd get
without ours

They have given me 2 dates and not delivered. Why would I want to ask someone else to take delivery only for vodafone not to and mess up their day?

Apologies for the hijack but what made you go for the storm?
I have been reading the reviews as I need a device and they all seem to get very mixed results.
What do people think between the Samsung Omnia, Iphone, Sony Experia etc?
I had an HTC TyTn and actually found it really good apart from the size of the lump.
Thanks,
Steve

Myself, wife & all 3 kids have had phones with Virgin for about the last 4-5 years - absolutely brilliant service, we've had faulty phones
& things but always sorted with next day delivery - none of this c*ap about "have you dropped it etc" cannot recommend them highly
enough.
I was previously with O2, bunch of crooks quite frankly (yes I'm sure that's libellous, they are quite welcome to take me to court, I
still have all the relating paperwork!! )
My daughter decided to get a contract with 3 last year - they are on a par with O2 & suffice to say she'll go back to Virgin when her
contract finishes.
I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator
headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names
furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours.

I would recommend the new google phone from t-mobile made by htc. failing that go back on orange and get a different htc phone or a blackberry.
I have a htc p3450 from orange and its fantastic, email, internet, pseudo gps, and i can even ring people on it.
Failing that you could always get an iphone!!
