Is that a Bonito?

OK not a GT40 but I can see where the inspiration comes from, quite a pretty car IIRC.

Think so but something has went horribly wrong with the bonnet, poor attempt at a replica really

was half expecting it to be beetle powered lol

Think they were originally Nazi wagons.

I remember there being some really nice developments of it towards the end, then as a lot of stuff of that era just disappeared.

talking of replicas of that period, in comparison to the countess a beetle based countach replica it was a dream, I don't remember it being advertised as a replica at the time though more of a unique car with some GT40 styling cues, but never explicitly stated in the adverts or even hinted at.

IMHO it is about as much like a GT40 as that one the other day was like an Enzo. The difference is that this one at least has some level of attractiveness about it...

I don't think it was ever meant to be a replica of anything, obvious where the inspiration came from tho'!

I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/furoreproducts/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1

The body on the one i went to look at for a friend was finished to a very high standard. The chassis was also impressive.

However, the body shell is designed as a mid engine layout with very forward seating position yet the chassis is designed as a front engine layout. The seating position was awful because of this. Would have been great as a middie though!
