Satnav - which one???
I know it's been covered b4 but this stuff changes faster than I change my socks!
I'm thinking of either a cheapy satnav, £50 - £100 or spending what I assume would be a lot more for something interactive ie receives news of
traffic probs & reroutes you accordingly.
With the cheapies, do they all talk to you? & do they all have postcode tracking facilities? I don't want to get something cheap
that's going to cost a fortune in updates, what is the usual position regarding updates? (you can tell I know a lot about this market!)
What's the current entry level Tom Tom model? & if I choose to get something interactive how much have I got to spend to get anything worth
having?
I'm sure you knowledgeable chaps can help me out here!
I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator
headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names
furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours.

I got the £49.99 Navigo earlier this year from ebuyer and put Tom Tom now on version 7 on it and it's a good system. My niece bought a Navman
and thoroughly hated it. I've used the Miomaps as well and that's not a bad setup. You would be better off going somewhere and looking at
a few to pick which system you like best.

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

check how much the map updates are and if it is a subscription
also best to get one with speed cameras but they usually need quite regular downloads that cost

Mrs donut has bought me for xmas the TomTom one euro V4 as it does everything i want and as we go to europe on our hols each year it's ideal. It
was £120 from Tesco. they do cheaper ones but i think they are slightly older models.

I got the £50 Navigo from ebuyer and put TomTom 6 on it.
PeteFF, wouldn't work with TT V7 tho, it kept coming up with the error not enough internal memory.
However, I've used it to get across Germany to a number of destinations without any fuss.
Anyway, KrisMC is selling a new TomTom One for £80. U2U him if your interestd, its all there apart from the car charger.

If you're putting it in a locost, might I suggest the Tom Tom Rider as its waterproof and has a bluetooth helmet speaker (not that it is much
good over 70 mph on a bike). I tend to use mine without speaker as the on screen prompts are enough.
Another often unrecognised benefit of satnav is it tells you where the next few corners go even if they are beyond your vision. But avoid going at a
speed at which you cannot stop in the distance you can see to be clear, 'cause sods law will put a tractor in your path!

i like garmin got a 300T, even does free traffic updates through the RDS system, so no subscription, or phone bills
got it from tesco on offer a few months back for less that £100, so you should be able to pick one up for that now
