£2.99 Satnav?! (Not quite)
My satnav gave up the ghost about 6 months ago and since I have gone back to knowing where I am in the country and where I am driving as opposed to
blindly following a voice!!
Anyway, my mothers satnav broke about 1 month ago. I did a bit of research I found mine had a broken ribbon cable to the arial while my mothers had a
damaged memory chip.
A £2.99 8in1 Torx screwdriver was ordered if Ebay and now I have one working satnav rescued from the two.
Quite pleased! Back to following the SatNav lady!!!!

nice work!
I fixed mine that had a broken power supply with a bit of solder and a cut off plug in charger to the battery terminals.
Worked great till I dropped it...

My satnavs in the car all the time. I remember back to just how many times I almost ran out of fuel and crawling from village to village in the hope
of an open gas station. The speed camera thing is a life saver too.

Another top tip (but damn obvious to most blokes) is not to leave the mini-USB charger lead in the sat nav when you whack it in the glove box.
My misses did that with hers and it ripped the connector off the board.
Much joy ensued opening it up and resoldering it but hey at least its back up and running (and luckily broke the solder rather than removing all trace
of the PCB tracks)
