Just looking at the 2009 calender.
If you only had one kit car show to go to
Which one would you choose?
Not taking into acount distance.

1 Stoneleigh
2 Newark
Though Stoneleigh 2008 was not th4e best it's been due to the weather

Stoneleigh and Stafford was quite good for owners turning out. I'd rather cut my arse off and sit in vinegar than trek down to Newark for what
it was last year. Okay weather was bad but they had to subsidise the whole thing with little steam engines, home made cake stalls and wooden train
sets. Not what I went for Was in and and out in less than an hour.

I like Detling, although the timing is wrong for weather. Last year was a wash out! Hoping for better this year cos a few of us are going to camp and
get v. drunk! I live 5 mins away in case it goes bad! If the weather is really good we're going to hang a white sheet on a tree and project Gran
Turismo on it for a few drunken laps of the ring!

I liked Donnington just cos I could sit with a beer and dream about driving my car around the circuit when it was finished....

Now there's a man after my own heart! Will you be there? I'm taking my Buell and my brother his Duke. Party at Puerta de Sta Maria still
pretty good but not as good as it used to be (before they closed the town centre to traffic.
Ahh edted cos realised you're talking about Donnington, Stoneleigh clashes with Jerez.

Stoneleigh, by far the biggest, then Newark or Stafford. Any of them can be poor if the weather is bad. Newark last year was a case of this, rain and
wind and open stalls are not a great combination.

Stoneleigh is the big one, Newark tends to be very friendly but smaller .Haven't been to the "new " Stafford show so can't
comment. You take a chance on the weather whichever one you go to . I will not bother going to Donnington again unless things improve.

Thanks for the input guys.
I think I'm going to choose Stoneleigh.
I was hoping Detling woul do better, as that's the one closes to me when I'm in England.
Newark did well, but it falls right in the middle of my holls.
Which is fine by me... but SWMBO !!..
Now thats a whole different matter
