tintop fuel gauge
does anyone know how the 'miles left till empty gauge works on our tintop, its a 2006 fiesta , not a real problem as such, when i left work it
said 200 miles till empty traveled 28 miles home at a steady 60mph mostly on m-way got home and she says 182 till empty,
doe the car just guess at the miles left using a preset mpg , and i happened to do more mpg than the car thought
eerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

All the calculations are based on your AVERAGE MPG, if you haven't reset the mpg for a while it will be giving you a figure based on all the
miles you have done since you last reset it.

not on all cars. most are designed to vary so that if you go from driving in town in the week to on the motorway at weekend you will get a more
accurate estimation.
