Spotted: Apache!
Am I in Baghdad or something???
Just had 3 Apache Helicopters fly over my house.
Bet they don't pass the SVA sound limits!!!
Very cool looking indeed!
Shame we couldn't be using our own British designed equivalent but oh well! I certainly wouldn't want to be facing the wrong end of one!!!
Cheers,
James

I think they're awesome looking.
In a pure, engineered for purpose sort of way.

We get them over our house every week - noisy beggars!
They trundle along at about 20mph in a line of 8 or 10, sometimes in a 'holding loop', presumably waiting for a call into action
somewhere. This means we get their infernal noise for 15 minutes!

We get Chinooks flying over fairly regularly.
I keep trying to get the youf that works for us to go into the field holding a drain pipe and see how alert the copter chaps are

We get them over our way a lot too.
This week so far we have had at least 6 chinooks go past - and they are V. NOISY. Again impressive though.
Sometimes see a spitfire too.

I once drove from Lincoln to Nottingham in the dawn light watching the Red Arrows practice overhead. Almost crashed twice Amazing.........
Should all the yank copter be doing something more useful than "training exercises".......
