Canon Ixus and bullet cam.

Is it possible to use my digital camera's video function with a bullet cam? It records video with sound thru the normal lens and has a AV-IN mini USB port ...I'm only looking to record a few mins at a time and would be cheaper than buying a proper recorder.

Don't know if you can do it with the ixus but if you have an archos or something like that then you can. HTH

Almost certainly not. If you were to use a USB camera, the Ixus would have to operate as a USB host, and would have to have to support the particular camera you plugged in.

Does it really say AV IN? Most cameras have AV out ports for viewing photos on a TV etc. but not seen any with AV in.

I've probably got it all wrong, I'll check when I get home...

I just use my camera on a mount on the roll bar [Pentax Optio]. It'll record an hour or so of video on a 2gb sd card [or until the battery runs out].
